Base fee:
  • Try the first class (June 4, 7:00-8:30pm) commitment free! When you love it, you can register for the full course. Otherwise, there's no charge! We will even provide a loaner fencing mask!

Longsword is the foundation of our combat system. Students wishing to study other weapons at Ottawa Swordplay must complete our Novice Longsword program first.

The Novice Longsword program is a 10 week course. Students in the course are introduced to our core Novice techniques. Intermediate students participate in the classes for review and as experienced training partners.

Every student needs a fencing mask. You can purchase or rent one from us, or use any modern fencing mask in good condition.

Each 1.5 hour class includes 30 minutes of freeplay time.
