Prerequisite: Students must have completed the Novice Longsword course and either the fall Dagger & Ringen course or the Dagger & Ringen Intensive Workshop to register for this class.

This class is our intermediate course for medieval wrestling (Ringen) and dagger. Students will learn and refine techniques for wrestling at the arms and body, and techniques with the rondel dagger in armoured and unarmoured contexts.  This course will focus on techniques while wearing a jacket and belt.

Every student needs a fencing mask. You can purchase or rent one from us, or use any modern fencing mask in good condition. Every student also needs a mouth guard, a jacket or sweatshirt that you are comfortable having grabbed and pulled, and a cloth belt. Speak with an instructor for more details.

Loaner daggers are available for student use. Gloves are encouraged but not mandatory. Long sleeves are encouraged.

Each 90 minute class includes 30 minutes of freeplay time.
